With an innovative concept for the athletically active guest, we are opening the gates to the new K1 hotel as part of the garni hotel chain in the Hoppecke valley in Willingen in mid September. Throughout a construction period of about 18 months, the former Ulmenhof was reconstructed in its entirety. After additions and alterations, the K1 hotel now comprises 35 rooms.

True to the motto “right there”, the hotel is situated directly adjacent to the skiing area and with that the new lower terminus of the K1 8-person chairlift. Due to the hotel’s proximity to the Ritzhagen, the Sonnenlift, the K1 and the Ettelsberg cabin ropeway, there are optimal ways for skiers and snowboard riders to reach the slope without any car or shuttle - not just during the winter time. Ski and bike rentals (www.sport-wilke,de; www.snow-bike-willingen.de; www.mtbzone-bikepark.com) and their biking and skiing schools are situated at a stone’s throw. Hikers can directly enter the certified quality trails Rothaarsteig and Uplandsteig. Willingen train station, the Ettelsberg cabin ropeway as well as the exciting and versatile food service industry of Willingen are within walking distance (circa 400m/0.25 mi).

Functionality

We intensely studied the needs of our athletically active guests and furnished our rooms in a modern and functional way, allowing for skiing boots, helmet or other equipment to be stowed away conveniently and quickly. Furthermore, there is a large storage room in the basement to store, dry, repair and wash bikes and skis.

Breakfast is our figurehead. We rely on regional class and quality. Treat yourself to our breakfast from time to time and be surprised by our variations.

Rooms

With our modern rooms of two categories - comfort and premium - we not only put emphasis on functionality but also on a high-quality selection of materials and furniture. Additionally, we implemented smart home technology, allowing for many functions like lighting and temperature to be controlled by smart phone. Shortly, we want you to be able to check in, pay and check out in a flexible and simple manner, using your smart phone. Of course, we are not relinquishing the personal approach by our K1 hotel staff either.

Accessibility

The hotel can be accessed barrier-free via a new entrance. Three completely accessible rooms and a wheelchair-accessible room are available.

Parking and lift

We offer parking free of charge on our hotel’s own parking side next to the hotel. You can easily access the floors to the rooms via our lift.
